It is difficult to name a state more beautiful than Utah. Every travel nurse we talk to says they always "hate leaving" and "can’t wait to get back". Southern Utah is “Canyon Country” where you can enjoy the 1000+ miles of shoreline on the majestic Lake Powell or get lost in Canyonlands National Park. Salt Lake City is home of great nightlife and easy access to the best snow in the country.

Moab Utah is an outdoorsman’s Mecca. Here you will find Arches National Park, Dead Horse Point, Island in the Sky, and the Needles district of Canyonlands. Mountain bikers, rock climbers, hikers, and photographers all call this place heaven. If it starts to get a little too warm from all you adventures, try cooling off with a white water rafting trip down the Green or Colorado River. In fact, National Geographic named the Green River the “Best one day White Water Rafting Trip in the World”.

With all of this adventure you will need to take a break and rehydrate. Head back to downtown Moab where you can enjoy coffee shops, art galleries, and great restaurants for some much needed food. Moab has everyting from fine dining to take out and from steakhouses to Mexican food. Despite popular belief, you can in fact enjoy wine and other alcoholic beverages throughout the state.

West of Moab brings you to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park. They are arguably two of the best parks in the country. Every travel nurse must watch the sunrise over the Hoodoos, the sandstone spires which define this awe-inspiring Natural beauty of Bryce Canyon. Zion is a world unto its own. The Narrows, a slot canyon with 1000 ft. walls, will make you feel small as you hike in water through the maze of raw beauty. You can always dry your feet atop Angel’s Landing, providing of course that the 1000 foot drop off on both sides doesn’t stop you.

Salt Lake City has changed drastically since the Winter Olympics. Now you will find world-class restaurants, bars, and great shopping. However many of our travel nurses go for the skiing and why wouldn’t you. With legendary mountains found in Park City and Provo, not to mention the best snow in the country. It is easy to understand why snowboarders never want to leave. Travel nursing jobs in Utah offer more than just great opportunity; they offer a chance to redefine what you consider Natural beauty.
