Oregon is among our Nations most beautiful states. Our travel nurses tell us that it is impossible to say what the most beautiful part of Oregon is. The truth is that each part of Oregon is beautiful for its own special reason. From Mt. Hood, to Coos Bay and from Crater Lake to the Willamette Valley each place will leave you breathless.
Portland, Oregon’s capitol is saturated with great restaurant, beautiful views, and water fountains all ready to be enjoyed. That’s right Portland has more water fountains than any other city in the United States. From a restaurant perspective, it is hard to find a restaurant that does not source most of its fish, meat, and produce locally. Portland’s nightlife will keep you rocking to the wee hours of the morning.
Oregon’s coast is a must see for any travel nurse. Coos Bay, Cannon Beach, and Astoria are just a few names on the stunning 363 miles of raw beauty. From light houses to sea stacks and from sand dunes to fishing villages, there are as many gorgeous attractions as there are waves.
If the coast is not your style then try the mountains. Hiking Mt. Hood is a great way to challenge all skill levels. While only the best will ever make it to the top, the mountain boasts beautiful wild flowers, lush streams, and abundant wild life. Crater Lake is a must see for any travel nurse. The lake is hiked all year round, but spring and summer tend to be the most popular times. If you prefer water sports then try your luck kayaking down the Willamette River in the city of Eugene where you can take on the white water and quench your thirst with a microbrew. The only question we have for you is when are you going to say “Yes” to your travel nursing job in Oregon?
