Montana is an "outdoors" person's paradise. Travel nurses come here to get in touch with Nature, explore the great parks, and take in the best of what the West can offer. Glacier National Park is one of the United State’s most celebrated national parks and is readily available for your exploration. If Glacier National Park does not pique your interest, then Yellowstone National Park will provide everything you could want in a National Park.

Helena, the states capitol, like many cities in the Rockies owes its start to the Gold Rush. Known as the Queen City of the Rockies, the city lies in the middle of Last Chance Gulch which produced over 3.6 billion dollars in Gold. Just 7 miles from the Continental Divide , this great city is blessed with some of the most beautiful views. Helena has many shopping opportunities, but don’t be put off by all the stores dedicated to outdoor adventures, with natural beauty like Montana’s the just can’t help themselves.

Montana’s culinary scene can be described as where organic produce crashed head on into t-bones and ribeyes. Local farmers produce some of the freshest organic crops and you cannot discount the quality of beef that comes off of cattle country. Some of the lesser known aspects our travel nurses are struck by is the quality of the wine produced in this part of the country. So grab a glass of Pinot, order a porter house steak, and sit back and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. This is a travel nursing job you will never forget.
