Physician Continuing Education

Advanced Cardiac Life Support:

The American Heart Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This Continuing Education for Physicians is only available via the on-line ACLS Heartcode Program and not the traditional classroom based courses. The Heartcode ACLS program is a three step process:

• •   Step 1 Successfully complete the Part 1 cognitive portion of the program including       patient scenarios and multiple choice exam.
• •    Step 2 Successfully complete the Part 2 skills test administered by the AHA ACLS       Training Center.
• •    Step 3 Receive an AHA ACLS Provider card.

Providers interested in this program should contact the Training Center once they have completed the on-line portion of the program at 877-277-6778 to schedule their skills evaluation. CE certificate will be avaliable to the provider via the AHA ACLS on-line process and the official AHA ACLS Provider card will be given to the Provider upon sucessful completion of the skills evaluation session.

NOTE: Traditional Cascade Training Center Courses provide CE credits for Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professionals as noted above. No PALS program (Including the Heartcode PALS program) is approved for Physician CME. If you have questions about Physician CE please contact the Training Center.
